Attempt Murder Charges Withdrawn Due to Police Misconduct

Genevieve McInnes was counsel at the Superior Court in Newmarket for a client facing attempt murder and a series of robbery with a firearm charges. Following a lengthy motion wherein Ms. McInnes argued that police had been involved in misconduct involving the suppression of evidence and the mishandling and planting of evidence, all of the client's charges were withdrawn. After two years in custody, the client was released and has been happily reunited with his family.
