Client Acquitted of Drive-by Shooting Charges

Genevieve McInnes was counsel at Superior Court in Brampton in a case that involved the discharging of a firearm in a busy plaza in Mississauga. At trial, Ms. McInnes challenged the credibility of the Crown’s principal witness, an alleged accomplice of the accused in the case. After several weeks of trial, the trial judge acquitted the accused of all charges. Following over a year in custody, the client is now happily reunited with his loved ones – and no longer facing the fear of a large number of years in custody.
