Ontario court strikes down Canada’s pot laws – The Globe and Mail

The Courts are once again being used to define the kind of society in which we choose to live. The Ontario Court of Appeal will soon be hearing the appeal of the order striking down some of the pot laws. It is remarkable that in this election there is little discussion about such important issues. The Legislature seems unable or unwilling to consider these issues so, like in the abortion litigation, crucial decisions about the nature of our society are being made by non elected Judges.
