Spreading the Holiday Cheer

By Lisa Lui, Associate

As members of the criminal defence bar, we are unfortunately no strangers to people that have fallen on hard times. These times can be all the harsher around the holiday season. If your client is fortunate enough to walk from the box before Christmas, bear in mind that the walk can also be a sad one. Not everyone has a home to walk to, a warm coat to walk there with, or a meal to keep them going along the way. So, while you certainly deserve kudos for your hard work, please find it in you to go that tiny bit further. You can spread the holiday cheer by:

a) Donating warm clothing to your local Court's outreach program or chaplain's office
b) Donating non-perishable items to a food bank
c) Volunteering at a soup kitchen or meal program
