Toronto Provincial Crown Office Reorganization and Case Management Court Reorganization

On Monday September 18, 2023, the Ontario Court of Justice – Toronto (located at 10 Armoury St, Toronto, ON) went through a Case Management Courtroom reorganization. This reorganization was accompanied by a reorganization of the Toronto Crown Offices.
Prior to this reorganization, Crown Offices were divided into the following regions:
· College Park (444 Yonge St) – Dealt with arrests from Police Divisions 51, 52, 53, 55
· Toronto North (1000 Finch Ave W) – Dealt with arrests from Police Divisions 31, 32, 33
· Old City Hall (60 Queen St W) – Dealt with arrests from Police Divisions 11, 12, 13, 14
· Toronto West (2201 Finch Ave W) – Dealt with arrests from Police Divisions 22, 23
· Toronto East (1911 Eglinton Ave E) – Dealt with arrests from Police Divisions 41, 42, 43
Following the reorganization, Police Division arrests were split among 4 Crown Offices and Case Management Courtrooms as opposed to the original 5. Helpfully, the Case Management Courtroom reorganization compliments the Crown Office reorganization, as shown in the below table:

In communications with the Crown regarding your matter (e.g., inquiries about your file, disclosure requests, filing documents), you need to contact the appropriate Crown Office. If you are uncertain about which Crown Office to email with your request, the answer can usually be found by finding out which Police Division arrested you and which Case Management Courtroom your matter is scheduled to return in.
